Ten (10) Cambodian coaches and athletes have received certificates of black belts for different dan grades from the World Hapkido Association.
The handover ceremony of black belt certificates took place at the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) in Phnom Penh last weekend.
According to Secretary General of Cambodia Hapkido Federation Mr. Kong Chanthina, of the ten athletes and coaches, four received one-dan black belts, two got two-dan black belts, three obtained three-dan black belts, and one was awarded a six-dan black belt.
Oknha Sao Senghak, the President of the Cambodian Hapkido Federation, spoke highly of the hard work and achievements of the awarded coaches and athletes and encouraged them to train hard to win medals in world sports events in the future.
He reaffirmed his commitment to developing the sport and unveiled the federation’s plan to organise the 2nd National Hapkido Championships in December this year.
