Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman to Visit Cambodia for Strengthening Parliamentary Ties.


Phnom Penh: H.E. Tran Thanh Minh, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam, will lead a high-level delegation to Cambodia this week for an official and friendly visit, upon the invitation of Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the Cambodian NA. The visit, scheduled from November 21 to 24, aims to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two nations, grounded in a spirit of good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and a comprehensive strategic partnership, as announced by the General Secretariat of the Cambodian NA.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during this visit, H.E. Tran Thanh Minh is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with Samdech Khuon Sudary. Following these talks, both leaders, along with other senior Cambodian and Vietnamese dignitaries, will inaugurate a new office building donated by Vietnam to the Cambodian NA. Additionally, H.E. Tran Thanh Minh will be granted a royal audience with His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norod
om Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and will hold separate courtesy meetings with top Cambodian officials including President of the Senate Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, and other prominent figures.

The visit also coincides with significant international events in Cambodia, where H.E. Tran Thanh Minh will deliver speeches at the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP). These engagements underscore the importance of the visit in boosting Vietnam-Cambodia cooperation, especially between their legislative and executive branches.
