Vietnam and Japan Strengthen Defence Cooperation and Friendship.


Hanoi: Deputy Defence Minister, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Pham Hoai Nam hosted a delegation of officers from the Ministry of Defence, the Self-Defence Forces, and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) of Japan, in Hanoi on November 4.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting marked a significant step in enhancing the defence partnership between Vietnam and Japan. The delegation’s visit aimed to bolster mutual understanding and foster closer ties between the two countries’ defence sectors. The discussions focused on increasing collaboration in areas such as security, defence technology, and peacekeeping efforts.

The exchange of ideas and strategies between the Vietnamese and Japanese representatives is expected to lead to more joint initiatives and programs in the future. This meeting reflects both countries’ commitment to regional stability and their shared interest in maintaining peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
