Typhoon Yagi making landfall, wrecking havoc widespread

Typhoon Yagi made landfall in the northern provinces on September 7 afternoon, bringing with it strong winds of up to 16-17 levels and heavy rains. The storm caused widespread damages with numerous trees and streetlights were uprooted, and debris littered the streets. Heavy steel awnings, weighing hundreds of kilograms, were torn from buildings and fell onto the roads. Yagi is believed to be one of the strongest storms hitting Vietnam so far.
