Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia has announced that the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) 2025, formerly scheduled from Jan. 19 to 25, will take place from Jan. 15 to 20, 2025 in Johor, Malaysia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the ministry’s announcement received this evening stated that the upcoming TRAVEX will be attended by tour operators, media, sellers, and buyers with around 200 booths that display tourism products from tour operators, tourism agencies, travel and accommodation services, and stakeholders from ASEAN member countries.

This event is crucial for boosting tourism growth in the region, promoting tourism business opportunities, and showcasing Cambodia’s rich tourism potential to international markets, particularly ASEAN markets.

The event will also serve as a platform to establish new business relationships, foster cooperation in the tourism sector, and strengthen the tourism partnerships among the ASEAN member states through the network of travel agencies and the cooper
ation of ASEAN tourism.

The Ministry of Tourism thus called upon tour operators, private sectors, media, national and international tourists, the general public, and relevant institutions to promote and participate in TRAVEX to entice more regional and international tourists to visit “Cambodia – Kingdom of Wonder, Feel the Warmth, Safe, Clean and Green.”
