Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, welcomed H.E. Prof. Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Abroad of the Republic of Togo, at the Peace Palace this afternoon.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Prof. Robert Dussey congratulated Cambodia on its rapid development across different sectors. He acknowledged Cambodia’s role as the host of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 and confirmed Togo’s support for the event’s success.
The Togolese foreign minister provided updates on the achievements of bilateral cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Togo and Cambodia. He highlighted the productive discussions held with Cambodian ministries and institutions to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation and establishing ties between the countries’ chambers of commerce.
In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed gratitude towards the Togolese government for its support of Cambodia’s hosting of the 20th Francophonie Summit. He pointed out the strengthening diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Togo over the past 15 years, and highlighted the potential for cooperation in various sectors, including government-to-government, private sector-to-private sector, and people-to-people connectivity.
Both leaders also exchanged views on national development, focusing on areas such as the economy, trade, investment, agriculture, clean energy, and education.
