This Year’s CIEGE to Attract Up to 300 Booths


The 17th Cambodian and Import/Export Goods Exhibition (17th CIEGE) will attract some 250 to 300 booths from Ministry of Commerce, Capital/Provincial Departments, Foreign Embassies in Cambodia, local and foreign private companies and so on.

The information was shared here on Oct. 7 by H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, in a dissemination meeting on the 17th CIEGE.

Besides, he added, there would be some side events, including digital business forum, Cambodia-Republic of Korea industrial cooperation forum, presentation on export preparation, industrial products exhibition, e-commerce award ceremony, and concerts.

Cambodia is going to hold the 17th CIEGE at Borey Peng Houth Boeung Snor from Dec. 13-16, 2024, The event aims at promoting trade, investment, and private sector development with participation from both local and international exhibitors

This major international exhibition also offers local producers the chance to modernise their production in terms of packaging, qua
lity and quantity, responding to market demand and competing with imported products.

Generally, products displayed in this once-a-year exhibition are agricultural and processing products, vegetable, fruits, foods and beverage, jewelry and precious stones, cosmetics, office furniture, among others.

The Cambodian and Import-Export Goods Exhibition (CIEG) is solely a government international trade exhibition organised in Cambodia by the Ministry of Commerce since 2005. Its primary objective is to make the economic activities in Cambodia more active for sustainable development, boost job creation, promote local products as well as regional and global trade integration.

Last year, the 16th CIEGE was organised at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh from Dec. 15 to 18.
