The East Entrance of Angkor Wat Temple Reopened


Siem Reap: The APSARA National Authority (ANA) has announced the reopening of the east entrance of the Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap province starting from Mar. 31. The announcement was made to encourage the participation and cooperation of various stakeholders in promoting the news.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the authority has called upon relevant ministries, national and international institutions, and tour operators to further disseminate this update. The reopening is part of efforts to attract both local and international tourists, especially ahead of the Khmer New Year celebrations.



Angkor Wat Temple, constructed in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, is renowned as one of the largest religious monuments globally. It holds the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site and remains the most visited site within the Angkor Archeological Park in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province.
