Soft Tennis and E-Sports Bring Two More Medals to Cambodia

Cambodia this afternoon earned two more gold medals in Soft Tennis and E-sports at the 32nd SEA Games that the Kingdom is hosting.

One gold medal was won by Ms. Khun Chanrosika and Mr. Sam Chankaby in Soft Tennis’ Mixed Doubles event at the National Olympic Stadium, after defeating their Lao opponents 5:3.

Another gold medal was obtained by Mr. Sao Rithchesda for E-sport in Attack Online 2 (AK2) Individual at NagaWorld 2, while his fellow Cambodian Mr. Sron Chanthoeurn got a silver medal at the same event.

Cambodia has so far grabbed ten gold medals in Kun Bokator, Jiu-Jitsu, Aquathlon, Vovinam, Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), Soft Tennis, and E-Sports, making the Kingdom temporarily at the top of the Medal Table.

Some 25 sports competitions are on today’s programme – Boxing, Football, Kun Khmer, Kun Bokator, Pencak Silat, Sailing, Hockey, Volleyball, Jiu-Jitsu, Athletics, Obstacle Race, Triathlon, Cricket, Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), E-sports, Karate, Soft Tennis, Petanque, Vovinam, Swimming, Mountain Bike, Basketball, Sepak Takraw, and Teqball.

Regional athletes are set to compete in 37 sport with 581 events – 304 for men, 229 for women and 48 mixed – at the SEA Games 2023 held in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.
