Singapore reported 13,520 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total tally to 846,341.
Of the new cases, 2,578 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests, and 10,942 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 2,516 were local transmissions and 62 were imported cases.
Among the ART cases, with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 10,855 local transmissions and 87 imported cases, respectively.
A total of 1,477 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 54 cases in intensive care units.
Six deaths were reported from COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total death toll to 1,084, the ministry said.
