Siem Reap to Host ‘Cambodia-China Gastronomy Week’ This Weekend


The Ministry of Tourism is going to organise the “Cambodia-China Gastronomy Week” in Siem Reap province from Oct. 26 to 27, 2024 with about 100 booths.

According to the ministry’s announcement, the forthcoming event will showcase the best of Cambodian and Chinese authentic cuisine.

In parallel, it continued, the Ministry of Tourism will also organise the Gastronomy Conference under the theme “Good Food for All”, with renowned speakers sharing their experience on Cambodian and Chinese gastronomy.

This event aims to promote Cambodia’s gastronomy and the country’s rich tourism potential to international markets, particularly China, said the source, adding that it also seeks to strengthen good cooperation in tourism between public-private sectors of Cambodia and China and continue to promote the “Cambodia- China People-to-People Exchange Year 2024” and “Visit Siem Reap 2024” campaign to attract more Chinese tourists and investors to Cambodia.

The Ministry of Tourism therefore called upon tourism operators, al
l public and private tourism associations, relevant institutions, national and international media, and the general public to widely promote the Cambodia-China Gastronomy Week and to participate in the upcoming event.
