Phnom Penh: President of the Cambodian Senate, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, will attend an event hosted by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in Indonesia, and deliver a special lecture on his experience on peace-seeking process, territorial unity and development of Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s participation was confirmed when he received a visiting delegation of ERIA led by its President Prof. Tetsuya Watanabe, at the 7 January Palace here this morning.
In the meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed warm welcome to Prof. Tetsuya Watanabe who came to discuss his visit to Indonesia and hoped that he will meet with Indonesia President H.E. Prabowo Subianto.
The Senate President also congratulated the ERIA School of Government on its inauguration in Jakarta, hoping that it will contribute to good leadership in ASEAN.
Prof. Tetsuya Watanabe said ERIA has been well connected with Cambodia since Samdech Techo Hun Sen was the Prime Minister and has now conducted with the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet on various research projects in the areas of human resources, economy, industry, energy, technology and so on.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen noted the key role of ERIA in researching and organising regional economic forums with the participation of East Asian countries, major economies, and countries around the world, and expressed his pleasure to share key experience during the upcoming ERIA event.
