Phnom Penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, has sent an official message of congratulations to mark the launch of broadcast of the ‘Classical Quotes Favored by H.E. Xi Jinping’ programme in Khmer on the National Television of Cambodia (TVK) and other local television channels, held here this afternoon.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined that the friendship between Cambodia and China has stood the test of time and history. He described China as Cambodia’s most reliable partner and affirmed that under the guidance and encouragement of both countries’ leaders, bilateral relations have now reached their best stage in history.

‘On the occasion of H.E. Xi Jinping’s visit, I am pleased to see the third episode of ‘Classical Quotes Favored by H.E. Xi Jinping,’ produced by China Media Group (CMG), being broadcast in Cambodia,’ he stated.

The Senate President expressed hope that the programme would add cultural energy to further strengthen friendship and communication between the two nations, as well as offer inspiration for addressing pressing global issues.

He also highlighted the importance of people-to-people exchanges, calling them the essential bridge that connects the peoples of both countries. Cambodia, he added, is pleased to witness the fruitful outcomes of cooperation between Cambodian and Chinese media, particularly through the ‘Cambodia-China Friendship Radio,’ jointly operated by the National Radio of Cambodia and CMG.

‘I believe today’s people-to-people exchange event will create yet another bridge between Cambodia and China – one that will deepen mutual understanding and trust, and promote the stable and long-term development of our bilateral relations,’ he concluded.
