Senate President Concludes Successful Visit to China.


Phnom Penh: President of the Cambodian Senate, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, has successfully concluded his three-day official and goodwill visit to China. Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who also serves as the President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), returned home this evening and was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by CPP senior officials, senators, lawmakers, government officials, and many other dignitaries.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his stay in China, Samdech Techo Hun Sen engaged in talks with H.E. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of the People’s Republic of China, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to firm mutual support to consolidate the ironclad friendship between the two countries.

In addition to his meeting with President Xi, Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with other prominent Chinese leaders, in
cluding H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. These meetings further underscored the robust bilateral relations between Cambodia and China.

Furthermore, Samdech Techo Hun Sen visited significant sites in Beijing, including the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and an exhibition celebrating the CPC’s centenary. These visits highlighted the shared historical and political ties between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration in various sectors.
