Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Meets CPC Official to Bolster Bilateral Ties


Phnom Penh: Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, received at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning visiting H.E. Yin Li, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the courtesy meeting, H.E. Yin Li expressed strong admiration for Cambodia’s rapid progress across all sectors, particularly in maintaining peace, political stability, socio-economic development, and improving the living standards of its people. He conveyed confidence that under the wise leadership of Samdech Borvor Thipadei, Cambodia’s economy would continue to flourish.



The CPC senior official also highly valued the traditional friendship ties between the two countries, as well as the growing relations and cooperation across sectors between China and Cambodia, encompassing state, party, and people-to-people ties. Furthermore, he conveyed to Samdech Borvor Thipadei that the purpose of his visit was to further deepen and strengthen the consensus of the top leaders of both countries and to continue actual cooperation.



H.E. Yin Li also emphasised Beijing’s intention to expand cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration, the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, and other provincial administrations.



In response, the Cambodian Premier expressed his satisfaction and high appreciation for the flourishing relations and cooperation across all sectors between Cambodia and China. He thanked the Chinese government for its consistent support for Cambodia’s socio-economic development and acknowledged the contributions of Chinese investors in Cambodia, including the construction of physical infrastructure such as expressways, the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport, and the development of special economic zones, among others.



Samdech Borvor Thipadei and H.E. Yin Li also deliberated on ways to continue strengthening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation in various potential sectors, including politics, economy, trade, investment, digital technology, arts and culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
