Phnom penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received H.E. Kim Han-gil, Chairman of the Presidential Committee of National Cohesion of the Republic of Korea, at the Peace Palace this morning. The visit underscored the ongoing strong relations between Cambodia and South Korea.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Kim Han-Gil expressed admiration for Cambodia’s rapid development across various sectors. He conveyed optimism for further progress under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. Highlighting the robust relations between the two nations, H.E. Kim praised the significant contributions of Cambodian migrant workers to South Korea’s economic growth, acknowledging their role as vital partners in the country’s development.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet reciprocated by expressing satisfaction with the strengthened bilateral relationship, which was upgraded to a “strategic partnership” in May 2024. He expressed gratitude to the Korean government and
people for their ongoing support in Cambodia’s development, particularly in infrastructure, real estate, banking, agriculture, manufacturing, and industry.
The Cambodian Premier also appreciated the support extended by the Korean government to Cambodian migrant workers in South Korea. He encouraged H.E. Kim Han-Gil to maintain active cooperation with Cambodian ministries and institutions, aiming for achievements that would benefit both countries.
