Samdech Techo Hun Sen to Deliver a Special Speech at 25th World Knowledge Forum in S. Korea


Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate, will lead a high-level delegation to participate in the 25th World Knowledge Forum under the theme ‘Journey Towards Coexistence’ and attend other important official events in the Republic of Korea from Sept. 9 to 13, 2024.

At the 25th World Knowledge Forum, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver a special speech on ‘Journey Towards Coexistence and Prosperity in ASEAN,” said a press release of the Senate of Cambodia, adding that the forum will bring together participants from governments, politicians, academics, corporations and sectors around the world to share knowledge to contribute to promoting balanced economic growth and global prosperity.

During his stay in Incheon, it continued, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will hold working meetings with the leaders of the Republic of Korea, including the President and the Speaker of the National Assembly, and receive representatives of major Korean companies.

He is also scheduled t
o visit Gyeongsangbuk-do province to receive an honorary doctorate degree in ‘Leadership and Peacebuilding’ from Dongguk WISE University and give a lecture on ‘Cambodia’s Experience in National Liberation, Peacebuilding, Reconciliation and Reconstruction’ from a country torn apart by war and the killing fields to a nation full of peace, coexistence and tolerance, the source pointed out.

At the same time, it added, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will visit the Bomun Tourist Complex and the Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen will be accompanied by H.E. Ouch Borith, Second Vice President of the Senate, senior ministers, ministers and key leaders of the Senate, the National Assembly and the Royal Government, as well as leaders of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.

The high-level Cambodian delegation will return home on the morning of Sept. 13, concluded the press release.
