Samdech Techo Hun Sen Reaffirms Senate’s Non-Interference in Executive Affairs


Phnom Penh: Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has reaffirmed that the Senate, a part of the legislative branch, will not interfere in the affairs of the executive body.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen made the statement during an inauguration ceremony for a school building and other achievements at Preah Ind Samaky Dham pagoda, located in Trapaing Krapeu village, Kraing Makak commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. This statement was made in response to a request concerning teacher recruitment at Buddhism schools.



Samdech Techo Hun Sen emphasized, “Now, I don’t have the right to decide. What I can do is providing recommendations.” He conveyed the request to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Civil Services, urging the Royal Government to make a decision.



He further mentioned that the Royal Government has been undergoing deep reforms to improve the process of new staff recruitment, aiming to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of public administration.
