Phnom Penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has departed for the People’s Republic of China this morning. The visit, scheduled from December 2 to 4, is at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party and is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his three-day visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen is set to engage in a series of high-profile meetings. He will conduct a bilateral meeting with H.E. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of the People’s Republic of China. Additionally, separate meetings are planned with H.E. Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

highlighted that this visit marks the culmination of the Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year. It is expected to provide new momentum in strengthening the ironclad friendship and promoting cooperation within the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations. The discussions aim to deepen diamond cooperation and advance the building of a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era.
Accompanying Samdech Techo Hun Sen on this important visit are Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and Vice President of the CPP, and H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. They are joined by other dignitaries from the Senate, Ministers, and senior government officials, as detailed in the press release.
