Oddar Meanchey: Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), continued her humanitarian mission on Thursday by distributing essential aid to 2,025 vulnerable families from the Anlong Veng and Trapeang Prasat districts in Oddar Meanchey province. The donation event took place at Tuol Thbeng village, Trapeang Prey commune, Anlong Veng district.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event was attended by high-ranking officials, including H.E. General Kun Kim, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission and Head of the Royal Government Working Group for Oddar Meanchey province. Leaders from the Cambodian Red Cross headquarters, provincial authorities, and Red Cross branch representatives from various provinces such as Oddar Meanchey, Pursat, Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear, and Siem Reap were also present.

Numerous philanthropists, Red Cross staff, volunteers, and youth members participated in the event. This marks the second day of Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen’s humanitarian campaign in Oddar Meanchey. On March 5, she had distributed aid to 2,250 vulnerable families from Banteay Ampil and Chongkal districts, and Samrong city.

In addition to the individual aid distributions, the CRC provided 225 sets of relief supplies to the provincial Red Cross branch for further dissemination. In total, 4,500 families across five districts and the city in Oddar Meanchey have received assistance through this initiative.

These donations were made possible through contributions from various philanthropists. The Cambodian Red Cross continues to serve as a vital partner to public authorities in humanitarian efforts, supported by generous contributions from donors of all backgrounds, especially in observance of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8 each year.
