Phnom Penh: China-based Sailun Group has expressed its intention to expand its investment activities in Cambodia to strengthen its production capacity in the region. While paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet in Kunming, China’s Yunnan province, on the afternoon of Nov. 6, Mr. Yuan Zhongxue, Honorary Chairman of Sailun Group, said that the company’s investment expansion plan focuses on rubber processing to produce various products such as car tyres to supply the local and international markets.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Sailun Group also planned to establish an industrial park for the production chain of the rubber processing industry, as well as for the enhancement of the company’s production capacity in the region. In reply, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated the Chinese company on its success in the world market as well as on its growth in Cambodia. He welcomed and supported the company’s intention to expand its investment in establish
ing a complete ecosystem in the production of tyres in the industrial park, which is in line with the Royal Government’s policy.
The Premier also recommended the company to continue to cooperate and discuss with the Cambodian relevant ministries and institutions to turn the investment expansion plan into practical activities.
