President of Thai Ruling Party to Visit Cambodia in March


H.E. Mrs. Paetongtarn ‘Ung-Ing’ Shinawatra, President of Pheu Thai, the ruling party of Thailand, will lead a senior delegation to pay a visit to Cambodia on Mar. 18-19.

The upcoming visit will be made at the invitation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

The main aim of the visit is to exchange views on cooperation between the two neighbouring countries for the common interest of the two peoples and parties based on the close ties of friendship and cooperation between both parties, underlined the CPP in its press release issued on Friday.

During the two-day visit, the source pointed out, H.E. Mrs. Paetongtarn ‘Ung-Ing’ Shinawatra will hold a bilateral talk with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and paid separate courtesy calls on Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate; Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly; and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen extended the invitation to the Pheu Thai leader on Feb. 21 during his private visit to H.E. Thaksin Shinawatra, his godbrother, at his home in Bangkok, Thailand.
