Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this afternoon urged all Cambodian diplomats to further promote Cambodian tourism and rich culture in response to any misinformation about the Kingdom.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of conveying messages of safety, peace, and stability to enhance Cambodia’s image globally. He acknowledged Australia’s recognition of Cambodia as a top travel destination and urged embassies and consular offices to continue their efforts to promote tourism.

Siem Reap in Cambodia, home to the famous Angkor Wat Temple, has taken out the top spot for Australia’s trending travel destinations in 2025. This is based on a travel-comparison website, Skyscanner’s Travel Trends 2025 report, which highlights a significant increase in interest by 529 percent.
