Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this morning inaugurated a Daycare Centre of Marvel Garment Co., Ltd. located in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone in Khan Pursenchey, Phnom Penh. Speaking with female workers on the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister said the daycare centre is one of the ten priorities of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Premier highlighted the importance of the daycare centre at the factory, stressing that it provides health care and adequate nutrition for the workers’ babies and young children from 3 months to 3 years old, contributing to building Cambodian human capital from a young age.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stated that this initiative is part of the Royal Government’s commitment and effort to provide benefits for the workers. The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to reaffirm the continuation of the Royal Government’s policies in favour of workers, especially pregnant workers, during their pregnancy and after their delivery until their babies reach the age of two years old.
In addition, he asked the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Health to continue monitoring the work, including the implementation of social security schemes on health care and the provision of health services at health centres across the country.
