PM Chairs First Meeting of Steering Committee to Eradicate Dilapidated Houses.


Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the first meeting session of the central steering committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses across the nation in Hanoi on November 10 morning. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is head of the steering committee while deputy heads include President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, and Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the formation of this committee marks a significant step towards addressing the widespread issue of inadequate housing in Vietnam. The committee’s primary goal is to establish a comprehensive plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, thereby improving living conditions for many citizens. The meeting focused on strategizing and setting priorities for the upcoming phases of this ambitious national project.

The steering committee’s initiatives are expected to involve various govern
ment sectors and local authorities to ensure that the implementation of housing improvements is both effective and sustainable. The committee will work on identifying key areas where housing conditions are most dire and will allocate resources accordingly. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of collaboration among different government branches and the need for a unified approach to tackle the housing challenges faced by many Vietnamese communities.
