Manila: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, H.E. Martin Gomez Romualdez, in Manila this afternoon, as part of his two-day official visit to the country.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during their meeting, Speaker Romualdez spoke highly of Cambodia’s rapid development and progress.
In response, Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet shared key outcomes of his bilateral discussions with Philippine President H.E. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., which focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, education, tourism, culture, people-to-people exchanges, and national defence and security.
The Cambodian leader also expressed his gratitude to the Philippine government for its support and care for Cambodian nationals and students residing in the country.
H.E. Speaker Romualdez reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to strengthening ties with Cambodia and highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation in fostering bilateral relations.
Both leaders expressed confidence that stronger ties between the two countries’ legislative bodies would become more dynamic and active.
They also emphasised that this would contribute to expanding relations and cooperation while deepening the bond between the two nations’ peoples as well.
