Sihanoukville: The foreign luxury cruise ship Seven Sea Explorer arrived at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port this morning, bringing over 700 international tourists from 18 nationalities for a one-day visit to Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Seven Sea Explorer, registered under the Marshall Islands flag, carried a total of 725 international tourists, including 391 women, alongside 545 crew members from 44 different nationalities, 133 of whom were women.
The cruise ship, which departed from Thailand, docked at Sihanoukville at 9:30 AM and is scheduled to leave for Vietnam at 8:00 PM on the same day. The majority of the tourists on board were from the United States (589), followed by British nationals (66), along with other travellers from various countries.
As part of their visit, a group of 20 tourists, including 11 women from two nationalities, travelled to Siem Reap province to explore the world-renowned Angkor Wat. Meanwhile, the remaining passengers embarked on sightseeing tours within Sihanoukville, visiting notable attractions such as the Tumnup Rolok fishing village, the local Phsar Leu market, the coastal area, and the famous Golden Lions Roundabout.
They also toured cultural and religious sites such as Wat IntNhean and Wat ChotNhean in Sihanoukville city.
For leisure and sightseeing, visitors explored the Bay of Light development zone, the Preah Thong-Neang Neak statue, and the Vipassana Meditation Centre at Thourak Kiri Neak Vorn (Wat Samathi) in Ream commune, Prey Nup district.
Upon arrival at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, the tourists received a warm welcome from provincial authorities.
