Sihanoukville: The luxury cruise ship Seabourn Encore docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port this morning, bringing over 500 foreign tourists from 19 different nationalities for a one-day visit to Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, immigration police officials at the port reported that Seabourn Encore, registered in the Bahamas, measures 210.5 meters in length, 28 meters in width, and has a draught of 6 meters.
The vessel carried a total of 546 passengers-276 of whom are women-and a crew of 413 members of 47 nationalities. The cruise ship had departed from Vietnam before making its stop in Cambodia and is scheduled to set sail for Thailand at 8:00 PM today.
The majority of tourists onboard are from the United States (322) and the United Kingdom (105), along with travelers from various other countries. Additionally, 49 foreign tourists who had been visiting Siem Reap province joined the cruise in Sihanoukville to continue their journey.
During their visit, tourists explored key attractions in Sihanoukville, including local fishing villages, the Independence Beach area, the Golden Lions Roundabout, and cultural landmarks such as Wat IntNhean and Wat ChotNhean. Many also visited the Bay of Light development area, the Preah Thong Neang Neak statue, and the Vipassana Meditation Centre at Samadhi Pagoda in Prey Nup district.
