Nippon Foundation Lauds Prosthetics Making Training and Rehabilitation in Cambodia


AKP Phnom Penh, August 05, 2024 — Executive Director of Nippon Foundation Mr. Ichiro Kabasawa has praised Cambodia’s success in prosthetics making skill training and rehabilitation.

He made the commendation in a courtesy meeting here at the Peace Palace this afternoon with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Mr. Ichiro Kabasawa also spoke highly of the success of the Royal Government of Cambodia in launching social protection policies, especially the health scheme for Cambodians throughout the country.

Through the cooperation with the Nippon Foundation in the past over 30 years, he continued, Cambodia has also provided training to some foreign students, which is a source of pride for the Kingdom.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked and appreciated the Nippon Foundation for its contribution to the development of rehabilitation, education and health sectors in Cambodia.

The Premier stressed that since Cambodia has experienced civil wars, rehabil
itation is a priority of the Royal Government.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his strong hope that the Nippon Foundation will continue to cooperate with the Royal Government to support this important sector.
