Nine Coconut Growing Areas in Tra Vinh Approved for Export to China.


Tra vinh: Nine coconut growing areas in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh have qualified to export fresh coconuts to China. The approved areas cover a total of over 1,240 hectares and include two packaging facilities.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Tra Vinh is the second-largest coconut growing province in Vietnam, boasting nearly 27,400 hectares of coconut cultivation. The region is home to approximately seven million coconut trees, which are managed by around 90,000 households. Annually, the province produces approximately 444 million coconuts, contributing significantly to the local economy and the country’s agriculture sector.
