Phnom Penh: Newly appointed Cambodian Ambassadors to ten foreign countries have expressed their commitment to actively promoting national tourism and enhancing cooperation with their respective host countries. This pledge was made during a courtesy meeting held on Monday between Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and several ambassadors, including H.E. Chea Chanboribo, H.E. Ms. Kimsour Sovannary, H.E. Chey Ratha, and H.E. Sin Saream.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting was attended by H.E. Chea Chanboribo, who serves as the Cambodian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and Cyprus; H.E. Ms. Kimsour Sovannary, the Ambassador to Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Permanent Representative to the European Union; H.E. Chey Ratha, the Ambassador to Brunei; and H.E. Sin Saream, the Ambassador to the Philippines. During the meeting, the tourism minister urged the ambassadors to convey the true situation in Cambodia, emphasizing peace, security, and public order, and to effectively counteract any misinformation that could harm Cambodia’s reputation and tourism sector.
The new ambassadors expressed optimism about attracting more tourists and investors to Cambodia throughout their respective tenures, underscoring their dedication to the country’s tourism development goals.
