Nearly-98-Million-USD Environment Project Inaugurated in Ninh Thuan.


Ninh thuan: The Phan Rang-Thap Cham city sub-project, part of the Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project funded by the World Bank Group, was inaugurated in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan. The project features improved infrastructure works that are expected to benefit 69,000 local residents.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the project, with an investment of 97.9 million USD, aims to improve environmental sanitation conditions, health, and quality of life for local people. It also seeks to enhance inner-city traffic conditions and develop drainage infrastructure in Phan Rang-Thap Cham city. Additionally, the project focuses on increasing rainwater drainage capacity, reducing the number of flooded areas, improving urban landscapes, and raising public awareness about environmental protection.

The initiative has been implemented across 16 communes and wards of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham city since 2016, marking a significant effort in boosting the region’s infrastructure and environmental resil
ience.
