Phnom Penh: H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), engaged in discussions with Mr. Hendrik Gezienus MULDER, CEO of Sathapana Bank Plc., and his team regarding the bank’s operational status and strategic plans for the future.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, Mr. MULDER provided insights into the bank’s current operations, credit quality, and business strategy. He expressed a positive outlook on Cambodia’s economic environment and shared plans for expanding financial operations and developing new digital financial products in the country.

H.E. Dr. Chea Serey welcomed these expansion initiatives and urged the bank to prioritize support for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She also emphasized the need for enhanced business sustainability and robust customer protection policies.

Furthermore, the NBC governor discussed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s resolution mechanism for the real estate sector, encouraging financial institutions to engage with this mechanism actively.
