The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has scheduled Nov. 6 as the date for the national high school examination for the academic year 2022-2023.
The ministry released the notification on April 19, stressing that the exam will strictly comply with the principle of law, fairness, transparency, and acceptable result.
The ministry added that the high school examination will test seven subject areas in both major disciplines, science and social science.
The science subjects include biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, foreign languages, Khmer literature, and selected subject among geography, history, civics, and ecology.
Social science subjects include history, civics, geography, mathematics, foreign languages, Khmer literature and selected subject among chemistry, biology and ecology.
The ministry stated that the examination results will be announced publicly on Nov. 28 at examination centres in Phnom Penh capital and Kandal province, and on Nov. 29 for those in other provinces.
Last year, some 72.33 percent, or 90,950 out of 128,134 high school students who have registered for the upper secondary exams, obtained their baccalaureate.
Among the successful students, 1,049 got grade A; 7,232 grade B; 19,053 grade C; 31,166 grade D; and 32,450 grade E.
