The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) last weekend held a work discussion with a delegation of the Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA) representing 400 companies.
The ministry’s side was headed by H.E. Minister Hout Hak, while the CATA side was led by Oknha Chhay Sivlin, President of CATA.
The meeting touched on challenges and requests in order to attract more tourists to Cambodia, especially on cultural and natural tourism since the Kingdom of Cambodia is of abundant cultural, historical, and natural resources.
H.E. Hout Hak extended his appreciation to the association’s efforts, initiatives, commitment, and contribution to the country’s tourism promotion. He hoped that the association would continue to support and further develop the tourism industry.
Additionally, the minister emphasised that all concerns, challenges, and requests raised during the discussion would be further reviewed within the ministry, inter-ministries, and with the tourism working group in the government-private sector forum, to provide e
ffective, efficient, and timely responses.
