Ministry of Commerce Boosts Digital Entrepreneurships

Kampong Cham: The Ministry of Commerce has organised a training on ‘Strategy for Doing Business in Digital Market’ in Kampong Cham province to promote digital entrepreneurship.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Kao Kosal, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of the training held on April 1. The training aimed to enhance the skills of entrepreneurs in the region, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to navigate the ever-evolving digital market landscape.

The event drew participation from a diverse group of stakeholders, including provincial administration officials, relevant departments, the chamber of commerce, companies, enterprises, community representatives, associations, producers, traders, and students from the province. The gathering underscored the collaborative effort to empower local businesses in the digital age.

The primary objective of the training was to bolster the capacity of entrepreneurs to effectively leverage digital technology for promotion, advertising, and sales. This initiative aims to facilitate swift and efficient product and service delivery to both domestic and international markets.

Furthermore, the training is part of a broader strategy to encourage traders to integrate technology into their business practices. This integration is expected to enhance various aspects of business operations such as production chains, inventory management, documentation, and financial oversight, while also addressing potential risks associated with digital technology use.

The training also aimed to create opportunities for companies, enterprises, and traders dealing with Khmer products by connecting them to advertising platforms like the Ministry of Commerce’s website, Cambodiatrade.com. It provided insights into the procedures for distributing products to supermarkets nationwide, thereby expanding market reach.
