Tokyo: H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce and Chairman of the Export Promotion Task Force, along with H.E. Ms. Kim Sreyroth, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, engaged in a meeting with Mr. Kazuichi Shimada, President and CEO of MIRARTH Holdings, and several senior executives at the company’s headquarters in Tokyo this week.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions centered on enhancing the presence of Cambodian cashew products in the Japanese market. MIRARTH Holdings aims to collaborate with Cambodia at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka to highlight Cambodia’s potential products, particularly focusing on key agricultural products such as rice, pepper, and cashew nuts, as mentioned in a ministry’s press release issued this morning.
H.E. Secretary of State encouraged MIRARTH Holdings to broaden its investment and cooperation within Cambodia, specifically in the development of the local cashew nut processing sector. This move is aimed at promoting the value chain of Cambodian products, generating local employment opportunities, and contributing to the national economic growth.
The company showed its eagerness to work closely with the Export Promotion Task Force of the Ministry of Commerce to promote Cambodian cashew nuts on a global scale, with the goal of elevating their reputation on the international stage.
Both parties reiterated their commitment to strengthening ties and advancing the export of Cambodian agricultural products, focusing on cashews, to achieve improved economic and trade outcomes for Cambodia.
