Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Women’s Affairs and the Formation et Progr¨s-Cambodge (FPC) have discussed more cooperation, particularly in empowering women and girls. The discussion took place between H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, and Mr. Fran§ois Schnoebelen, FPC President, in Phnom Penh, on Monday.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi shared with her guest key highlights of the ministry’s achievements in promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls in Cambodia. Mr. Fran§ois Schnoebelen expressed his appreciation for the ministry’s efforts and expressed his desire to collaborate further to advance these achievements.
Mr. Schnoebelen also proposed the ministry’s support in organizing the Women and Girls Empowerment Forum in Siem Reap province, aiming for either May or later this year. H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi endorsed the initiative and suggested that the technical teams of the ministry and FPC work together to plan the forum.
