The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture has called on teenage girls to pay attention to reproductive health and implement a healthy lifestyle.ccording to Jelsi Natalia Marampa, the ministry’s Nutrition Security and Health Promotion Deputy Assistant, after teenage girls get married, they will become future mothers who produce healthy and quality successors. Therefore, it is essential for them to optimally learn, understand, and maintain their reproductive health, she said on Sunday. Marampa explained that the ministry is continuing to improve education and dissemination of information on the importance of reproductive health for teenage girls. “The ministry is encouraging teenage girls to make it a habit to consume foods with balanced nutrition. Moreover, to prevent anemia, they should also routinely consume blood supplement tablets,” she emphasized. Teenagers’ reproductive health comprises numerous aspects, including their reproduction system, function, and process. Health is not just about being free from diseases or disabilities; it also involves physical, mental, and social wellness, she emphasized. “Teenage girls should maintain their reproductive health and avoid free sex to prevent sexually transmitted disease, pregnancy outside of marriage, and other problems that affect reproductive health,” she noted. Teenage girls should also access quality and affordable reproductive health information and service, she added. Marampa also emphasized the importance of maintaining physical and mental health by following healthy and balanced eating patterns, exercising regularly, and managing their stress. These practices are beneficial for long-term health and prosperity. She underscored the importance of spreading information to the public and promoting the criticality of maintaining balanced nutrition rich in animal protein. This is especially important for teenage girls, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and infants to support the acceleration of stunting reduction. baca-jugaRelated news: Villages have strategic roles in stunting convergence: MinisterRelated news: Local gov’t should ensure ultrasound device availability: Minister
