Minister Acknowledges NGOs’ Role in Supporting People with Disabilities


Phnom Penh: The Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports has praised the efforts of nongovernmental organizations, including Exceed Worldwide, Mine-Ex Foundation, and ICRC, for their significant contributions to enhancing the welfare of people with disabilities, as well as victims of mines and remnants of war.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, conveyed his appreciation during a meeting with the NGO delegations at the ministry on February 10. He highlighted the crucial role these organizations play in providing support ranging from education access to livelihood improvement, which has positively impacted the lives of many, particularly children and youth, rendering them an essential resource for Cambodia.



The discussions between the minister and the NGO representatives also focused on furthering support to empower Cambodian people with disabilities, ensuring their meaningful involvement in the nation’s socio-economic development.
