Mekong Delta city targets to bring clean water to 94 percent of rural population


The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho has set a target of having 94 percent of the local rural population accessible to clean water by the end of 2024. The city recently has invested in developing, upgrading and expanding numerous clean water supply systems in rural areas. At present, the city has 117 water supply systems with capacity ranging from 280 cu.m-28,000 cu.m per day to serve for over 153,400 rural households, or 92 percent of the city’s rural population.
