Maritime economy to drive rapid growth in Ninh Thuan

The south-central coastal province of Ninh Thuan boasts a 105 km of coastline with many pristine beaches, such as Binh Tien, Ninh Chu and Ca Na. The province also has abundant sunshine and wind, which can be used to generate electricity, and its diverse cultural heritage. With these natural advantages, Ninh Thuan has great potential to develop a maritime economy. Ninh Thuan province's plans envisage an average annual Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of 10-11 per cent until 2030. It also aims to become a high-middle income province by 2030, with a per capita income of 8,200 USD. For maritime economy, the province expects a growth rate of 15 - 16 per cent per year, and the maritime sector will account for 41 - 42 per cent of the GRDP. Source: Vietnam News Agency
