Malaysian House Speaker Kicks Off Three-day Official Visit in Cambodia


Phnom Penh: H.E. Tan Sri Dato (Dr.) Johari Bin Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia, and his spouse arrived in Phnom Penh this afternoon for an official and friendly visit to Cambodia until Jan. 18, at the invitation of Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia. The high-level Malaysian parliamentary delegation was warmly welcomed upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by H.E. Vong Sauth, NA Second Vice President, and many other Cambodian lawmakers.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit of the Malaysian House speaker is aimed to further strengthen and deepen the cooperation between both countries’ NAs, both in the bilateral and multilateral frameworks with the interests of the people and nation at the core. During the three-day visit, H.E. Tan Sri Dato (Dr.) Johari Bin Abdul is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, and hold a bilateral talk with his Cambodian counterpart, Samdech Khuon Sudary.



Moreover, the Malaysian House speaker will meet with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
