Phnom Penh: Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Vice President of the Board of Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) and Commissioner General of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, presided over the second annual Khmer Folded Skirt Gala on Feb. 24 evening at Chaktomuk Conference Hall.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event aimed to promote the significance and cultural value of the traditional Khmer Sampot (Skirt) while also showcasing Khmer wedding attires from the Oudong era to the present.

Highlights of the evening included a traditional groom’s foot-washing ceremony and a fashion show featuring the elegance of the Sampot.
