KJO Organisation of Japan Provides Over 30,000 Bicycles to Cambodian Students.


Phnom Penh: KJO Organisation of Japan has donated a total of 30,530 bicycles to poor children and students in rural areas of Cambodia between 2006 and 2020. This information was disclosed during a meeting at the National Assembly Palace, where H.E. Vong Sauth, the National Assembly Second Vice President, hosted Mr. Masahiro Sano, President of KJO.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, KJO initially planned to distribute up to 50,000 bicycles to Cambodian students. However, the plan was hindered by the COVID-19 crisis and other challenges. Mr. Masahiro Sano expressed his commitment to achieving this target despite the setbacks.

H.E. Vong Sauth expressed his satisfaction in meeting with Mr. Masahiro Sano, recollecting their collaboration over the past 15 years, dating back to his tenure as minister of social affairs, veterans, and youth rehabilitation. He extended his gratitude to KJO for their contributions to Cambodian children, especially those in rural areas.
