Hau giang: Khmer ethnic people in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang are celebrating the Kathina Festival, the biggest Buddhist event in the locality. This festival spans from the fifteenth day of the ninth month to the fifteenth day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, which corresponds to October 17 to November 15. The ceremony is held solemnly at local pagodas following a three-month summer retreat and provides an opportunity for Buddhist followers to respectfully offer Casa robes, flowers, and essential items to the monks.
