PHNOM PENH: H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, engaged in discussions with a Chinese delegation regarding strategies to enhance Cambodia’s industrial growth and attract greater Chinese investment. The meeting, held on Dec. 11, involved representatives from the Chinese Investment in Cambodia Association and 86Links Co., Ltd., who introduced a technology platform aimed at showcasing investment opportunities in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delegation presented a sophisticated platform designed to highlight Cambodia’s Special Economic Zones and industrial parks. This platform, which features multilingual AI and interactive virtual maps, aims to provide potential investors with essential information on investment opportunities, legal frameworks, and industrial insights. The delegation outlined a three-step implementation plan and extended an invitation to H.E. Hem Vanndy to visit China to further bilateral cooperation.

itiative and recognized the platform’s potential to support Cambodia’s economic growth and data management. He instructed the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation’s technical team to assess how the platform could enhance the existing Investment Project Management system of the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
The minister reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s dedication to creating a favorable investment environment, emphasizing the importance of leveraging innovative technologies and strengthening ties with China. He also encouraged the delegation to channel more of China’s outbound investments into Cambodia, highlighting the country’s prospects as a burgeoning industrial hub.
