Phnom Penh: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Bendito dos Santos Freitas, is set to pay an official visit to Cambodia this week. This visit comes at the invitation of H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Bendito dos Santos Freitas will be in Cambodia from April 3-4, 2025. The two-day visit will include a courtesy call on Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Additionally, H.E. Bendito dos Santos Freitas is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with H.E. Prak Sokhonn. The discussions aim to explore new avenues to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The visit is seen as a reaffirmation of the commitment between Timor-Leste and Cambodia to enhance their existing good relations and cooperation for the mutual benefit of their peoples. The press release emphasized the importance of this visit in reinforcing the ties and cooperation between the two nations.
