Gov’t to Continue Supporting the Organisation of International Events to Attract More Tourists


The Royal Government of Cambodia will continue to support the organisation of international events in Cambodia to attract more foreign tourists.

The commitment was highlighted by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet while receiving a courtesy call from Neak Oknha Leang Khun, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chip Mong Group, at the Peace Palace here this morning.

On the occasion, Neak Oknha Leang Khun informed Samdech Thipadei of the success of Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia, saying that the Kingdom was praised by Gumball 3000 delegation as the best host in the 25 years of this big event.

Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia has raised US$450,000 to support the activities of the Angkor Children Hospital in Siem Reap province, he added.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet acknowledged the advantages of Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia, stressing that it contributed to promoting the Cambodian identity and rich culture to the world, attracting more international visitors to
Cambodia, especially to the Angkor Archeological Park, and telling the world that Cambodia is highly capable of organising international events with safety, success and good hospitality.

The Premier reaffirmed the Royal Government’s continued support to the organisation of international events, and encouraged Chi Mong Group to continue its cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions in organising more new events.

Cambodia hosted Gumball 3000 Rally from Sept. 15 to 17, 2024 in Phnom Penh capital and Siem Reap province.
