Feasibility study on Sihanoukville Logistics Complex project was kicked off this morning after entering into agreement in April to turn Cambodia into a regional logistics hub in Southeast Asia.

H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, chaired the Kick-Off Meting of Feasibility Study on Sihanoukville Logistic Complex Project held at the ministry in hybrid format with the participation of senior officials, Technical Working Group of International Finance Corporation (IFC), and relevant technical officials of the Ministries of Public Works and Transport, Economy and Finance, Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Environment, and Mines and Energy.

The Sihanoukville Logistics Complex is one of the two priority logistics hubs that will be developed in accordance with the Comprehensive Intermodal Transport Master Plan 2022-2030, and the second logistics complex project, preceded by the Phnom Penh Logistics Complex project.

With a strategic location on the Southwest coast and with good connection to national road, expressway, railway and airway, the Sihanoukville Logistics Complex will further contribute to additional capacity of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), the country’s only international deep-sea port which handles two-thirds of the total of container throughput in the country.
